Dr. Claire Callaghan

Dr. Claire is a founding partner of The Burnaby Family Practice.
Claire studied Medicine at UCD and completed her specialist GP training in 2016. Since then, she has worked in general practice across Dublin and Co. Wicklow, building broad experience in caring for patients and families in the community.
Claire has particular interests in women’s health, including menopause and contraception, as well as preventative medicine, paediatrics, and chronic disease management.
She holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Women’s Health from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and is a registered LARC tutor with the Irish College of General Practitioners.
She believes in getting to know her patients well, and in providing thorough, attentive care at every stage of life. Claire lives locally in Co. Wicklow with her husband and their two young children.

Dr. Denys Gibbons
BA MB BCh BAO MPharm MSc MICGP
Dr Denys is a founding partner of The Burnaby Family Practice.
Denys studied medicine at Trinity College Dublin and completed his specialist GP training on the Trinity GP Training Scheme. Before medicine, he qualified as a pharmacist and worked in both hospital and community pharmacy. He holds a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) from Robert Gordon University in Scotland, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Bioengineering from Trinity.

Since qualifying, Denys's work in general practice has focused on caring for patients of all ages from newborns to the very elderly.
​
He has particular interests in health screening, spinal pathology, bone health, dermatology, men's health, joint and soft tissue injections, and the care of older people.
​
He believes in taking the time to listen, and in the importance of continuity of care through every stage of a patient's life.
​
Originally from Lovely Leitrim, Denys now lives in Co. Wicklow with his wife who is a native of Wicklow and their three young children.
